Tourism content creation project aimed at attracting inbound local tourists and increasing consumption

Osarappe Tour Autumn
~A journey tracing the history of “Takasu” development and rice cultivation~

■Date: September 28th (Thursday) to September 29th (Friday)

■Number of participants: Approximately 10 people

■Theme: “Takasu (Hokkaido) development and agricultural history, life experience to feel the times”

                  “After the tour, Takasu’s rice tastes better.”

■Through guide: Kaori Terui (who has been farming in Takasu Town for generations and has experience as a tour conductor, etc.)

■Townsman guide: Akira Soba (local historian)

first day

  • 10:00 Meet at Asahikawa Station
     

  • 10:30-12:00 Arashiyama
    After visiting the ``Ainu Cultural Forest - Traditional Kotan,'' we trekked to Arashiyama Observation Deck. Feel the story of Hokkaido's nature and the Ainu up to the start of development.
    *Trekking canceled in case of rain, go to observation deck by car

     

  • 12:30~13:30 Yamakei
    Eat venison dishes at Yamae.

     

  • 13:30-17:30 Takasu tour
    While enjoying the autumn scenery of Takasu, you can feel the history of Takasu's development and rice cultivation.
    [Contents] Normalization Center (former Tsujino residence/accommodation base)
    → Stroll along the Osarappe River → Local Museum → Visit Takasu Shrine. *Indoor hours will be increased in case of rain

     

  • 18:00~19:00 Dinner at the Denshokan (former Yamahara residence)
    Enjoy traditional Takasu cuisine using ingredients from Takasu in an old Taisho-era family home.

     

  • 19:00~ Recreation & sleeping
    Accommodation will be at the Normalization Center and Hydrangea (Lodge), and tent accommodation is also being considered on a trial basis. We have commissioned a business in the town to set up a business bar, so you can enjoy Takasu wine, sake, and light snacks at the old house.

Day 2

  • Wake up ~ 9:30 Breakfast & preparation for moving
    Experience cooking and recreating the breakfast that farmers used to eat with the farmer's wife.

     

  • 10:00-11:00 Harvest experience
    Experience rice harvesting and try out a combine harvester. Facility tours only available on rainy days.

     

  • 13:00 Disband at Asahikawa Station
